“Invest” in Our Youth
This summer, the youth of First United Methodist Church are going on a week-long mission trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. We will stock shelves in food pantries, paint the homes of the elderly, work with kids and do a lot of cleaning and scrubbing! In order to finance our trip, we need the support of our family, friends and our community.
One of the ways that YOU can support our youth is by becoming a stockholder in their experience. Shares of stock are only $25 and you (or business / organization) can buy as many shares as you like.
As an illustration of how these investments will be put to use:
• One youth’s room and board at the work camp – 6 shares
• One plane ticket for a youth – 12 shares
• Journals, band-aids, supplies for the entire trip - 4 shares
• One day’s vehicle rental – 4 shares
• Additional meals per youth – 2 shares

What do you get in return for your investment?
Not only will you receive an official “First United Methodist Youth” stock certificate, but you will also get a personal postcard from one of our youth while they are on the mission project.
We also will invite you to a “Shareholder’s Dinner” after our mission project, hosted by our youth, where we will share stories and pictures and video from our week of service.
Most importantly, you will be investing in the future of this community. In a volatile economic market like ours, a “sure thing” is hard to find. But, this is certainly one of them. The lives of these young people will be transformed as they reach out in mission and service. Your tax-deductible “investment” will start a ripple effect in this world.
