This year, our United Methodist Women’s Mission Luncheon featured a speaker from Women at the Well.  Pastor Marlene Janssen shared with us her work on the Outside Council of the congregation at the Iowa Correctional Institute for Women in Mitchellville, Iowa.

We began our collection at this event of clothing and toiletries to be sent to the women’s prison for those who leave and will continue to do so throughout July.

Sunday, June 6th, Rev. Katie Z. Dawson was ordained at the Iowa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.  Fifteen others were ordained at that conference alongside our pastor.  Many came from the church to celebrate and to witness this wonderful event! Bishops Trimble, Kulah, and Job were a part of the laying on of hands.  More pictures will be coming as you send them in!!!

As a church, we will celebrate with a potluck brunch on Sunday, June 13th!  Bring something to share as you come and worship with us at 9:00am this Sunday!

Join us on Thursday, April 22 for our annual Hamball Supper to raise funds for the youth mission trip.  We are following up the evening with a talent show!  Dinner costs $8 and will have scalloped potatoes, beans, a roll, and wonderful desserts made by our church ladies (and gentlemen!).  You can also purchase extra hamballs for $2 each!

Conversation groups begin this week and will last for a total of six weeks.  These groups will be offered at five different times:
